Elizabeth (Betty) McIlear 10/5/39 to 21/01/06
Elizabeth McIlear (Betty) passed away on the 21st January 2006 at the age of 66. She left behind her loving husband Mackie, his name is James but she liked to call him Mackie. Her sons, James, John, William and Brian. Then there’s me, her only daughter, Liz. Betty has 11 grand-children. Karen, Leeann and Jamie are James's daughters. John has 2 children, John and Nadine. William, Brian and Carly are Williams children. Brian has 2 sons, Brian and Dean. I have one son, James. Betty had 4 daughter in-laws, Linda, Isabel, Caroline and Linda. Her wee pal was Nancy.
My mum and dad stayed in Edinburgh Road, Glasgow.
My mum died with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease also Congestive Cardiac Failure and Acute Renal Failure.
She died at the Glasgow Royal Infirmary with my dad at her bedside.
My mum could be a very stubborn person at times, but had a heart of gold.
Betty wasn’t just my mum, she was my best friend whom I could rely on for anything, and speak to her about anything.
My heart really did break in 2 when she passed, I love and miss her dearly. My life is not the same without her as I was with her everyday of my life.
